Same mission, expanded vision: A trusted source for clear, inclusive medication information
VeganMed, a pharmacist-led platform originally founded to identify animal-derived ingredients in medications, has officially rebranded as Pill Clarity. The name change reflects the company’s expanded mission: to address the broader crisis of ingredient transparency in medications — from hidden animal-derived excipients to the top 10 food allergens and banned additives like Red Dye No. 3.
“When we launched as VeganMed, our mission was clear: to shed light on hidden animal-derived ingredients in medications,” said Sachin Shah, CEO/Co-founder. “Today, that mission remains — but the scope of our work has grown. We’re helping even more patients and healthcare providers find clarity in a confusing pharmaceutical landscape.”
Why the change?
While VeganMed remains the parent organization, the new name, Pill Clarity, is a clearer reflection of the platform’s inclusive commitment to all patients — regardless of dietary needs, allergies, or religious beliefs. The rebrand emphasizes transparency across all ingredients, not just animal-derived ones.
What’s staying the same:
The platform is still operated by the original VeganMed team.
The focus remains on ingredient transparency and ethical healthcare access.
The company continues to serve patients with allergies (such as Alpha-gal Syndrome), vegans/vegetarians, religious communities, and medical professionals.
The free medical information service and trusted product marketplace remain unchanged.
What’s new:
A name and identity that welcomes all who seek clarity about what’s in their medications.
A broader scope to include all hidden excipients and potential allergens.
An expanded mission to educate, advocate, and support patients and institutions alike.
“If you still call us VeganMed, that’s okay,” said Dr. Shah. “We’ll still answer. This change is about growth — and making sure every patient knows this space was created for them too.”
